Jake,
I wanted to take a few minutes to comment of the job John has been doing in the BioMed shop and Neuro Psych projects. In both projects, John was a major asset. In particular: John runs a very clean, efficient project. He’s attentive to safety and quality as well as the issues of productivity. He clearly is knowledgeable about construction, construction trades and crafts, and project management. He’s one of the better superintendants I’ve worked with in the past five years at the Memphis VA. John is attentive to project and design details. In several instances, John identified opportunities to improve the design or reduce the cost without degrading the intent or quality of the project. If he has concerns or questions, He generally has a recommendation, such as how to complete the outer wall facing a busy corridor. John’s experience in medical centers, and particularly VA medical centers is a benefit. John knows the sensitivities of medical center staff and patients in the VA environment. By its nature, construction in a hospital environment can be highly disruptive. John’s management of the projects minimized disruptions. Finally, John is easy to work with. He’s aware of customer concerns and problems and works to solve them. I’ve noticed John has an excellent relationship with hospital personnel and is able to make arrangements for things like debris removal, without my involvement. He makes my life easier and keeps the hospital customers happier. In short, John and his company make my life easier and produce a superior product for the VA. I highly recommend John and his company for future project work in the VA system, or any hospital. |
